I have an annoying creaking sound from the back of the car, and today I think that I have found the source.

If I press on the carpet just behind where the rear lights are on the passenger side I get a creaking sound, there is no sound whilst doing the same on the drivers side. So off comes the rear light, but once thats removed you still dont get access to behind the carpet.

How easy do you think it is to remove or pull back the carpet in that area so I can see whats going on behind there, weather is not to great today so it will have to wait.

Try looking at he parcel shelf. I had a similar problem and stopped it by usisng a pice of foam to restrict the lateral movrmrnt of the parcel shelf[
