Numpty alert - what's the easiest way to measure my front strut diameter ?

Featured Replies

It could be 50 or 55mm - how can I measure which one it is ?

It will most likely be 55mm.

I just used a ruler offered up against the strut. It's quite easy to tell if it's 50 or 55mm,

If your not 100% sure with Harrys method, wrap a tape measure around the strut, if it measures 173mm its 55mm diameter, 157mm is 50mm.

Thinking of lowering it then Bryan

Thanks to you and Harry for the response

Yeah, divide the circmference by pi (3.14 basically) then you have the diameter.
