A Skoda in "Classic & Sports Car" Magazine !

Featured Replies

For those who may be interested ? The Skoda 450 roadster from the late 50's is covered in a 4 page article in the May edition of "Classic & Sports Car" magazine. There are a few comments about the "unfortunate" handling but some nice pics of a fine looking red example. Not sure if this particular LHD car is known to anyone on here ?

If you don't want to shell out £4.40 of your hard earned and prefer to browse in WH Smith's it is on page 150 !!, Oh and there is even a small piece quoting a 1963 "Motor" test of the Octavia.

I was thinking that the Rwd Octy and Felly, and the R110S et al probably deserve pieces too.

Just read it. I think the cars from the chap who's got the Skoda Museum in Denmark?

Didn't realise the Felicia and original Octavia had such problems with their handling. But then again with pre war underpinnings and looking at the suspension set up I shouldn't be all that surprised.

Doesn't put me off wanting one though.

Dunno if I want to read the article, it might put me off driving my old RWD Octies!

I'm assuming that Dave Richards has penned it, he's got a Tatra 603 & he loves anything Commie

I can say the handling is much better with RADIAL tyres,

but I definitely go for "nice and steady" rather than "17 year old in a maxxed out Paxo"
