I was thinking about building Full FIS display for Fabia as they are not available at all for this car. Also i don't like switching between options on this tiny lcd built in cluster and this all could be displayed on bigger screen (all options at the same time) for example temperature, MPG, trip, etc

display would fit over the standard warning lights in the middle of current cluster and it would take over from warning lights (showing warning graphics instead)

it could be mono (like in golf mk5) or color (like the new vw/audi cars)

it could also comunicate using Can / K-line to show eg which door is open or read any faults in the system...

is there anyone interested in participating in project like that? i have few clusters to play with for tests.

also you could post your ideas here what could be added to this project to make it more interesting / usefull....

It was fitted to the Fabia, If factory Navi was spec'd at the time of build!

A couple have tried to retrofit this, But never quite got it to work!

The LCD does the job imo. The dot matrix is mildly pretter.

you may be actually right but I haven't ever seen one like that... probably not easy to buy as second hand as well (if it did exist)...

i checked ETKA and the only one that is different is for "Maxi-Check Package" but nothing in description indicates that it may be the one i am looking for.. :(

probably the only difference is amount of warning lights that are actually working.

I have a Fabia Maxidot cluster in my workshop.
