Fabia Vrs to Yeti

Featured Replies

Hi All

How will the Yeti feel after 2 1/2 years of running a standard Fabia Vrs, Its either the Yeti cr170 or a Octavia cr170 Vrs but I really like the Yeti so far..

Many Thanks

I ran a remapped vRS for 70000 miles over 5 years before my CR170 (it was around 165bhp, DMS Automotive). I think the YETI goes much like a standard Fabia vRS acceleration-wise, perhaps a little slower but with a much smoother power delivery which is apparently the way the CR engine does things - not like the brutish delivery of the PD130.

It rolls less round the twisty bits than the Fabia (no, really) and grips like a very, very grippy thing - especially in the damp or wet - tremendously indecent round roundabouts....

Fuel consumption is perhaps 10-20% down in normal driving but is does weigh a load more, is quite square to the wind and has four wheels to turn.

Believe me, you will not be disappointed!

dont get rid of your fabia you'll miss it when its gone you will miss that mid range punch but if you must then you must good luck with what ever you pick

I'm actually a single guy so don't really need one of these but actually really like it too! Apparently the handling is very good indeed (Evo magazine love it) and with the 170 it should have plenty of poke too. Good luck with your choice!
