Quick question, I am thinking of changing my Stream HU to a Bolero, my car is MY2006 Octy vRS, is the Bolero a plug 'n' play or will I need to change the canbus?(and could someone explain why)

Also my car has the Climatronic (I think thats what its called) those who have done this upgrade, do you need to change the facia trim to accomodate the Bolero?

Cheers, Lee.

Anyone? :(

Yes it will work. Yes it is plug and play. Yes you will need the Facia which for climatic only comes in black. VW Satin Silver paint is a pretty much spot on match though ;)

Climatronic is dual zone which if you have then the surround comes in silver.

That help? :p

Forum best friends....... :thumbup::thumbup::rofl:

Currently have similar setup to Pagey, 06vRS/Stream and have been doing a lot of reading up on this upgrade.

Is there not an issue with the canbus whereby if it's not updated (replaced?) at the same time as installing the bolero, the h/u produces a permanent drain on the battery?

I have a Skoda Octavia Greenline 2010, factory fitted with the Stream but i want to put the Bolero into place. Do i have to replace the CAN-bus? Or is the battery-draining issue due to older versions of the CAN bus? I hope someone can help me with this matter

Battery drain only happens on older cars with below K revision gateways.

As yours is new it will prob have at least an AD version if not an AF ( latest version )
