What design to paint cam cover......

Hi guys,

As I havent done anything to my car for a while I've been getting a little bored.....

I'm trying to decide what design to go for with my (metal) cam/rocker cover.....

I innitially thought of painting it blue to match the hoses, but more recently I've thought of painting it either:

  • Union Jack
  • Czech flag

Your thought please.....

I painted mine and got no end of stick for it, so I'm maybe not the best person to make suggestions :no:

Union Jack would be interesting though :thumbup:

I'd go along with that - the whole car is absolutely stunning :thumbup:

But why does the word 'Carbonio' always remind me of a dog biscuit ? :S

:giggle: hehe it must be the fact that a part of it sounds rather like the word "bone" and as we all know dogs lurrve bones :D

Fair enough mate! :thumbup: There are indeed lots of things that look much better in real life then in photos so I know what you mean :)

Have decided I'll paint it blue! I'm going to be a boring fart.

Anything else would look a little too 'busy' I think.

Quality job done at City Powder Coaters (Birmingham)....... Cant recommend them enough.

Just need to fit the dam thing!!

I've seen the last post you erm... posted. It looks good.

Is that a metal cover? I want to get my plastic engine cover powder coated but my nearest place said you couldn't do plastic. :(

Powder coating is applied as a free flowing dry powder, is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a skin.Plastic does not conduct electricity , and even if it did it would melt! :thumbup:
