All,

Right we have quite a few N.E members now, so I think a big meet is in order.............

I reckon a run is basically out the question simply due to the fact there will hopefully be far to many cars to accomendate this,We are spread out over a massive distance , reaching from Ashington to Redcar good 60 odd miles..... so heres a few ideas

Go karting day

Paint balling

both combined?

Big meet and dinner thing like choose a big location have a meal

Bowling

Big BBQ

anymore? and would people be up for this?

BBQ winning so far....

with nights as they are doesn't have to be a weekend, could be a weekday night near the middle o everyone can make it and have a massive BBQ :) I know our kit car club nights were on a Wednesday and got loads of people turning up.

Theres a outdoor go karting and paintball centre near Washington which I had some fun with the kit car lot last year!

These are all just little ideas and out loud thoughts!

Just remember when theres a date please remember to cancel all family commitments haha ;):D

ARE FAMILYS INVITED ??

I'm sure families would be invited, always welcome on my meets.

Of course familys are invited the more the merrier!!!

Put me down tony

Yeah ill be up for this depends on dates etc but if not working ill be there just hope we get a really good turn out

I'm up for it.

I haven't been karting (at Teesside) for 10-15 years. I'm happy to go there or up north (Warden Law etc.)

I'm happy with this BBQ idea depending on where it's held and when.

I'm also happy with just meeting in a pub (with a large car park) for this. I think this is what most other regional meets are like (look at the Harrogate or Wakefeild ones). It will probably be easy to organise, once a suitable location is found.

Put me down for the BBQ, date depending

BBQ or karting sounds good. Dont like the pub idea due to not being able to drink if its a car meet :p

I work late wed-sat so mon, tues or wed is best for me.

BBQ seems to be winning, by the way not taking over from anything here if anyone has a plan of action or wants to organise feel free :giggle: likewise any place ideas, etc please shout up we are a democracy here :)

I would prob pip for midweek or a Sunday late afternoon so no ones at work and things can be pre arranged!

looking forward to it! should be a good laugh

bbq sounds good,

new to forums and never been to a meet before so deffo up for this, get some ideas for my car :p

btw BBQ sounds good,

I'd be up for a drive out as I used to live in the NE.

BBQ and beer (or shandy) sounds like a top meet! I recently hosted a meet at Bolton Abbey for another forum and had in excess of 100 cars attend! We simply parked, socialised and had barbies! Something along those lines would appeal to me but I'm happy to go with the majority

BBQ fine , where abouts do u fancy for this meet tony ?

I think since we cover such a wide area its gotta be in the middle and on a main route so the 2 that spring to mind are the A1 or A19....

Or a little off them routes maybe Consett sort of way or if A19 somewhere on the coast which would be good for the familys etc! so if anyone can think of somewhere that would hold a big amount of cars and is a nice place where we can fire up some BBQ's shout up, also if anyone has a large BBQ or knows a place to get meat etc etc please PM me or just post on here!

Date wise think if we aim end of July beginning of Aug and personally I'm happy to do weekends of weekdays am usually free

Heres a few i can think of . . .

REDCAR

Majuba Road car park , right on the sea front & loads of room for cars

MARSKE

The car park on the Coast Road (redcar end) can even park up on the grass (is allowed) now that the council have removed part of the fence

SALTBURN

The car park at the bottom of the bank nr the minature railway , handy for the beach & the woods & the "SHIP INN" pub

Also BOLAMS BUTCHERS in Sedgefield do BBQ meat packs , very good value for money too.

Another option is to see David at NE Detailing at Chester Le St & see if he fancies opening up one sunday

i think a good idea would be a 1/4mile race with £1,000.000 to the winner?

:giggle:

im liking warwicks idea but his car isnt allowed to race :giggle:
