Help for Heroes Track "day"

Featured Replies

I shall be there! Also the track sessions are in the evening, the airport closes to air traffic at 7.30PM, then the sessions will begin as soon as the track is prepared with cones etc.

Its my mate who is organising all of this event. All funds (including the rolling road sessions) are going to Help The Heroes, so please come along, and bring your friends!

So far there are 40 cars signed up, including an F40 and my little Furby of course! There should be an excellent selection of cars, whatever takes your interest!

A few of us had a little 'test' session last evening hehehe :giggle:

Being so close it'd be rude of me not to attend however I'm already booked out to be a spectator at Oulton Park for a race day that includes AJEC's own AWD Academy Championship. If we can get back from Manchester in time i'll pop across.

Seems very odd that AJEC are organising this event on the same day that their own championship is hundredds of miles away :S

Would have been good to see Laurie's 600BHP evo out there or Guy's mental M3

I'm tempted, but at £35 for 15 minutes I'm not sure that it'd be long enough to enjoy and get to know the track

Its not AJEC that actually organised the event you see, it was my friend, who's family business is at the airport. AJEC have units next to the airfield, and so were duly asked to help with the organisation of the event. That's why it clashes with their other event!

As for the track, its a pretty simple layout, as we were having a blast last night. I understand its not the cheapest session out there, but it is for a good cause, and there should also be some interesting cars to have a poke around when your not driving!

I timed a lap at roughly 1min 30secs in my car, so you should get a few laps at least!

Simon.

That Pastyboy is always - going somewhere else when a decent event is on :giggle: .

I always support Help For Heroes but this is really too far to go for 15mins. Make it an all day event and I would be there.
