Chrysler Neon R/T

Featured Replies

The Skud is in getting the paintwork corrected for the last time I hope. Meanwhile I've been presented with a 51 plate Chrysler Neon R/T to run around in.

Good points -

Considering it's coming up on 9 years old it seems to be lasting quite well. Mileage is quite low 61k but as a courtesy it's probably had quite a hard life.

It's very well equipped and just about everything still works even the air-con, electric seats and mirrors. The one notable exception is the central locking. I haven't had to ask anyone to check the door is locked since my first car 15 years ago. Not too many rattles either and the leather seems to be wearing better than my 3yr old Octy.

It drives ok too. It's no VRS but it's not bad.

Bad points -

Welcome to 1987. Interior and driving feels like a car from the 80s.

It has the roughest petrol engine I have ever known, I had to double check that it wasn't a diesel and I only believed it because they didn't make a diesel.

It has a turning circle like an oil tanker

Not that fast but likes a drink

Dear God it's ugly.

It's worth about £1500 and wouldn't be a bad car for that except for the high tax band and it's looks.

I think it's a a bit less than that.

They are pretty terrible.
