Well after years of using Megs NXT car shampoo. Popped into Halfords to get two for the price of one in their BOGOF offer. No stock, so got Autoglym Shampoo and Paint Conditioner.

First thing I noticed, is the wash mitt doesn't glide over the paintwork as it did with the Megs shampoo. This was on relatively clean paintwork as well. Thought I'd wasted my money, and ended up with two 1 litre bottles I would never use.

Then I rinsed the car off with an open hose. Big grin follows, the water really sheeted off, and made drying really quick. Seriously, there was hardly any water to mop off even the flat panels.

Now the best bit. One week later, and after driving through heavy rain on several days, car was still amazingly clean. Rain drying marks were minimal. This is one serious shampoo.

Yeah, I use the same stuff (except I bought a 5l trade pack of it from Elite Care Care ) ... doesn't seem to produce much lather, but cleans well - smells like Rowntree's Fruit Jelly, too! (either raspberry or strawberry, I think!)

I think I've got a bottle in the garage somewhere, I'll have to give it a whirl after that review Moggy...

I'm using Mer shampoo at the minute, Bhoys were selling it really cheaply a few months back so stocked up on that as I prefer it to Megs NXT but I think I'll try the AG next time I wash her!

Cheers

Horses for courses... I didn't really rate it when I had the 125-wash size bottle :)

Cleaned OK but the lack of lather and suds didn't impress me. Potentially a problem if the car is *really* dirty, and makes a foaming pre-wash phase more necessary.

I tend to alternate between CG Maxisuds, Bilt Hamber Autowash and Megs Gold Class myself. All far superior IMO - but everyone's different

Cheers,
Steve
