Not sure which model radio/cd player you have, but if it is a "Stream" I had this.Mine was replaced under warranty (mine is a 07,Classic) but I found if you removed they key and ejected the cd straight away it sometimes would eject the cd!

You may have a different model/fault to mine though!

I used to have an 05 Elegance diesel and this happened to mine a few times. I found that if i took the key out of the ignition and left it a good while e.g. overnight then it would eject on first press next time. Very stange!

This may or may not be relevant, but here goes...

My laptop has a slot loading CD drive (like car stereos really). I got a CD stuck in there a while back - it would try to eject, but seemed like it got stuck on the way out. The drive would then suck it back in.

Turns out that if the CD is a slightly different thickness to normal (like a magazine freebie - thinner, or a CD-R - a bit thicker) or slightly warped it will get stuck on the case while being ejected.

The solution was to insert a train ticket/thin piece of card into the slot, above the CD. Then press eject (this required a reboot then eject). The card "guides" the CD out.
