Well, it had to be done. Opportunity arose for a bargain and it was easy to wire up as I had a switch already in the dash from my long-ago aborted strobe install in the (old) headlight units.

So, have been running 5-LED sidelights for quite some time. Much brighter and therefore safer, IMO

But new mod = Intercooler back lighting! :wonder: :no: Is literally nowt more than a small LED strip glued to the inside corner of the crashbar, shining down. Independently switched too. Yup, I am a tart!

Well, the mesh might be I will not be using it on the roads for obvious reasons. I'm not sure on the legalities - It is white, but its also not actually shining out. Might be allowed to drive with it? It wasn't for that though - mainly for shows and the like.

I will put the ban stick in the cupboard this evening and take whatever insults at face value.

Something I've always wondered, what's with the black bits on the bumper, are they unpainted washer caps? Do they work, or was it a case of it was the first bumper you came across? Cheers.

They are unpainted washer caps. The donor bumper for the vRS conversion was from a xenon'd car, so had holes there. I didn't want to retrofit the whole setup so just blanked off the holes with the caps. To be different, I just left them gloss black. Maybe one day I will remove them and spray them silver, but I like the slight black/silver clash.
