3 spoke wheel and 1.2TSI DSG - does it have paddles?

Featured Replies

I test drove a Fabia VRS today. what a hoot. couldn't live with the firm suspension though. My favourite part was the gearbox. I love the paddles. Also in sport mode the down changes blip the throttle and it has near instantaneous acceleration. awesome!

The ride front and back confirmed that I have made the right decision to buy a 4x4 Yeti. My wife sat in the back of a 1.8TSI Yeti for part of our test drive and said it was very comfortable, more so than the Fabia and our Octavia.

Does any 1.2 DSG owner have the 3 spoke wheel?

If so does it have the paddles like the Fabia VRS, Octavia DSG with the 3 spoke wheel and the Superb DSG with the 3 spoke wheel?

James at Allams thinks it might as the above cars come with paddles, but, like much of Skoda's brochures they don't tell us what we are in fact getting.

So I was wondering if any 1.2 DSG owners had the 3 spoke steering wheel & if it had paddles?

Hi,

unfortunately as far as I'm aware the Yeti DSG does not have the flappy paddle option :(

Driven my Dad's Superb 170 DSG which has this option; interesting concept but I still like the old fashioned clutch and stick method myself :giggle:

oh and congrats on your order today, just been reading your Fabia forum post.

edit: just double checked the latest owners manual (05/10) no mention of steering wheel controls in the DSG section.

Regards,

TP

Thanks for that.

No point in adding the 3 spoke wheel to the order then for no extra functionality.

That solves that mystery then!
