Gobi Sand

Featured Replies

I am sure this topic has been covered but does anyone out there have photos showing the gobi sand interior on the Yeti. Just ordered 1.8TSI Elegance Storm Blue (very nearly went for the Tangerine Orange, couldn't quite convince myself without seeing one in the flesh) Help wuld be most appreciated as I need to confirm leather colour today.

Quite a few pics in the pinned picture thread for example

Hope that's of help.

PS; seen the Gobi myself looks real nice.

Remember it is darker in reality than most pictures show, even on the best poota screens, but it is lush !!

Hope they help you to come to a decision!

I like the Gobi interior, there's a nice amount of contrast with some of the black trim, and it helps to keep the cabin bright.

I'd agree with redandwhitepauly - it's definately darker than a traditional cream leather interior - maybe more like toasted almond or milky tea (although I can see why Skoda wouldn't choose that as a name for the colour )!

Cheers

Many thanks to all - much appreciated and a huge help. Gobi Sand it will be - we think it will look good with Storm Blue and it does brighten up the interior. (sunroof would have done that nicely but.....) It has been very frustrating talking with dealers who gave differing & conflicting answers about trim colours, boot floor options and towbars. We were told that headlining was random and could be whte, black or grey, but there was no choice - we'd have to accept whatever arrived! None knew the colours of the door trims etc. so your help is extremely valued. I guess one can't blame the dealers as SUK do not give out much information out and the UK brochure lacks decent interior pictures. The Euro brochure is much better but of course we can't have the same options as the rest of Europe, which is disappointing and rather strange but never mind. Now we have to sit tight for 16 weeks! Thanks again,

I know what you mean about brightening the interior.

I have lived with the ivory leather on my octavia, but decided that I would rather go for the onyx as it would look better for longer - the lighter colours show the dirt & grime more. though the Gobi is a little darker than my ivory, we decided on Onyx.

Thanks Smike.I've just ordered my 170 in storm blue with gobi leather+ 3 spoke wheel.Just like your Pic's.It's nice to see it in the flesh so to speak. :)

Same bodywork/trim colour combo as on my ordered 170. It will be in good company when it arrives.

Hi Strider

Here's some pictures:

Ah and a great picture of the illusive three spoke steering wheel as well!!!

I've seen this Gobi leather on the Yeti at the Canary Wharf motor show and it looks great. Mushroom is how I'd describe it. I wish one could mix and match. See I'd love the Gobi seats and two tone dash but I hate cream coloured door pulls and arm rests as they get grubby mega fast. So I'd want this whole interior but just the door pulls, their surround and the door arm rests to be black.

Ah I just saw this in an American test of the new Chevy Cruze. An interior exactly as I described above! Black door panels with cream on top, cream dash and black armrests - even the centre one - with cream seats. I like it. It lifts the interior and makes it much brighter without the major contact points getting grubby.
