to those who said it was a mistake!

well, here it is,after 3.5 years of happy motoring... I couldn't get the exact point of 100,000 miles, as I was doing xxx mph playing with a bmw 330 at the time, but here is the first rest stop! just been on holiday, moving around the country camping, did more than 1,000 miles :) ...

everyone said it was a mistake, but here's to fiats new reliabilty, 100,000 miles with no breakdowns, and no problems other than normal wear and tear, original turbo/gearbox/clutch ect........... just a few wheel bearings, an EGR valve, a seat base, droplinks and top mounts, all done under warrenty, absolutley NO other issues ...

100,000 miles in 3 1/2 years? Do you live in it? Full marks to the Fiat then.

why thank you Mike :) was a good 1000 miles, had some fun, some good roads :) especially over the moors near Whitby..... still feels new, certainly doesn't feeel 100k

Personaly I don't view the seat base or wheel bearings acceptable in a 100k. Suspension componenets I view as a wear item.

That said as it was all done under warranty and you don't drive it gently.

under normal circumstances i would agree, but the wheel bearings were mostly because I had to park "bumped" up the pavement when I lived in Keswick, and the seat base is due to it being used as a learner car for 2 years, 4 or five times a day (every day) i would get out and pull the seat back, and someone else would get in and pull it forward, thats well outside what a "normal" car would have in terms of seat adjustment ;)

and what do you you mean "dont drive it gently?!" anyone would think I've tried to beat evo X's in it or something :p

Well as this is a Skoda forum and Octavias eat wheel bearings (at least they used to) I think we can allow a fiat to use 1 or 2!

Well done Sharky

Only been washed a few times in 100k too!

thanks guys

Driving school car.........original clutch..........wow. :) Fiats are a lot better than they used to be,most modern stuff will do 150k with no major problems if looked after.......apart from vauxhalls.......they just sh*te!! :giggle:

Sounds like you were right Sharky although I always have maintained that FIAT make good engines!

Nice one Dave, served you well. Not much chance of beating an Evo as you've never even overtaken me... ;):giggle:

Here's to the next 100,000...
