Hi guys, finally got my reconditioned turbo fitted today. Im taking it easy for a couple hundred miles to bed the turbo in, however I noticed I was down on power after covering 30 miles and no improvment Ive just been to see a friend with VAG Com...it come back with the following error...

Ross Tech Wiki

Now I suspect its either sticky veins or faulty solenoid...but was wondering is this normal on a new/reconditioned turbo and will it loosen up over time? Do I need to manually squeeze the actuator to get the veins to move without putting the turbo under load?

If you have any other advice it would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers,

Danny

VNT should be free with a new or recon turbo. I would check for boost leaks first, and that the N75 valve is supplying vacuum correctly. No harm checking the VNT by removing the under tray and moving the VNT lever back and forth, should be easy to move.
