Crazy isn't it. They wanted £670 to renew my '05 freelander, up from £500 the year before (no claims or anything). Insured the freelander and my new vrs with Admiral for £744!

try sky insurance, mention your a club member on here and you get a discount, i have a vrs and 6 points with 6 yrs no claims and im 26 and they did it for £650. Or try skoda insurance lts they quoted me £695

I had my vrs (when I was 23) insured through Brentacre, on a modified policy. Was lowered, 17"s, 312mm brakes etc... £470 with 4 yrs Protected NCD...

Ironically my lowest insurances were when I first started motoring.

I drove a citroen, actually hd 2, a bx and a xantia. But since then I've had nicer cars, so year on year and with vehicle changes up my insurance has never gone down in 15 years.

I've got like 12 years no claims now, although I think anything over 7 does not count.

Just a cost of life that will always go up, the more people seek to claim.

As with all things some days you'll get a brilliant offer, others not, there does not seem to be a logical pattern though.

BTW I pay that for my car now, 36, never had points and plenty of NCD, just lots of crime around our area. hey ho.

think yourself lucky I cant get mine for much less than that with over 14 year NCB and no mod'd

would be cheaper to move than pay for the insurance!

Then more the fool you. My renewal came in from Adrian Flux at £800+ IIRC, rang them up and 'pushed' and save loads of dosh. I couldnt even find insurance for the car standard cheaper.

Dont ask, you dont get.
