Pollen Filter Air Flow Direction - help needed

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently bought an '04 Fabia Estate (RHD) (couple of weeks ago) and I've been trawling through the excellent info on here.

I've just replaced the air and pollen filter (thanks to the posts on how to do this).

However, as I've seen that some people put the pollen filter in the wrong way, I just wanted to check which way the arrows should be pointing.

At the moment, the arrows on the pollen filter point to the radio, NOT to the passenger door.

Is this correct?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Yes. The fan is to the left of the filter, and blows through the filter into the various bits of pipe in the centre console. The fact you were able to get the cover back on properly is proof you got it right!

Looking at the dash from the passenger seat, Airflow is Left to right!

Is this the same on an 08 Mk 2 Fabia?

Thanks

Holy thread revival batman, but query relevant.

I've got that the arrow should point to the right. But..... Are you supposed to install the filter with the ends pushed inside the plastic carrier? Or seated so they push onto the lips?

Reason I ask is when I install it seated, it makes a whistling noise, unless I install the carrier upside down. I just pushed the ends inside the carrier and put it in the right way up and it seems fine.
