Superb II Boot problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Iam having a bit of a problem with the dual boot on my Superb. It seems that the boot itself wont shut propely, it goes through all the motion electronically then the rear just pops up abit. It locks ok, but to open the complete boot I have to lean on the rear and press the buttons as normal otherwise it wont open. This has happened before but dealer sorted it, as its a 100m round trip I was wondering if anyone new an easy fix or is it a trip to the dealers.

Regards

Paul

It's an adjustment to the locks and hinges. I believe it takes a bit of practice / skill / patience, and I have heard talk of a Jig.

It would have been better just as a hatch I can see loads of problems with this double action boot hatch

UPDATE

Had it to dealer today they say they put a spot weld on something and adjusted the locking latch, But also say that they are contacting Skoda Tech with pics and questions about locking pins which they say they are not happy with. So at the moment I'm just waiting for a phone call to take it back in.

All,

I had this problem a while back.

Contacted my local Skoda Service Centre and they said that this was a warranty repair and to drop it in.

Its perfect since.

They also replaced the fog lights even though they were OK.

Both items were on the system against my car to be done under warranty.

Mine was done ages back it was a known issue and your car should have been recalled to attend to it
