Fabia vRS Drop Links

Featured Replies

I have tried to search, but can't find what I am looking for I'm afraid.

I'm going to have to replace my drop links in a couple of weeks, but I believe I saw a thread a few weeks ago where somebody had purchased thicker/stronger droplinks that standard, with much stronger joints that therefore should be less hard-wearing.

Could anybody help me to please find this thread, or just link me to said parts? The best place I've found so far are the Meyle ones from Express Car Parts at £31.27 delivered for a pair. Any idea how much they are from Skoda themselves?

Cheers,

Tom

IIRC, the thread I'm thinking about mentioned Meyle HD parts, which are more rugged, and come with 4yr warranty.

Is this the thread? Clicky

This the text you wanted?

I've just ordered a pair from Express Car Parts @ £11-odd + vat each

1160600000/HD: Meyle Stabiliser Link - Skoda FABIA (6Y2) 1.9 SDI (FR/MYX)

They are from the Meyle HD range and looking at the blurb on the Meyle website:

http://www.meyle.com...s/MEYLE-HD.html

they should be a good replacement for OE links as larger joint and thicker rod (and 4 year warranty)?

That's exactly what I wanted, thank you!

I got myself a pair of the Heavy Duty Meyle from Express Car parts. They delivered next day.

I haven't fitted them yet but have them ready to fit as the drop links on mine are getting a bit worn.

They are MUCH thicker than the standard ones, and apparently have a stronger ball joint.

I think the standard OE Skoda ones are about £16-£20 each so the Meyle HD ones are also cheapper.

Does anyone know if these are sold anywhere else or is it just express car parts?? (is going to be 36notes from there including their 8 for shipping!!)

Any further reports on these post-fitting in terms of robustness etc...???

Thanks

Andy

Mine have been on for 9k and they are fine. Mind you, they should be at that mileage!

www.vwspares.co.uk sell them :)
