Help Please !

I have a '04 Fabia VRS. Yesterday I was no longer able to open the boot with the boot handle - however, I can still open with the key fob. I have tried it alot today and one in 10 times it with will open with the handle. Strangely, the buzzer to say the lights have been left on does not work today either. The car doors locked yesterday with the keys in the ignition, luckily I was in the car at the time.

So I have not checked the fuses yet...but surely if it were the fuse then the boot would not work all the time with the pull mechanism right? I can hear the under rubber switch clicking............but cant hear the motor. This must be connected to the other stuff mentioned (buzzer etc)?

Any ideas anyone?

I've got this problem but intermittent. I think it needs a new handle as the microswitch is knackered.

i have the boot problem. sometimes wont open with the handle but I can hear the motor working when i press the button. usually the third attempt it opens, yet other times it is fine and opens first time...weird :wonder:

Thanks guys........anyone know how much new switch is?? ......or had the same problem and solved it?
