Lesser Spotted Off Road Yeti!

Featured Replies

Following my off road adventure at the Abingdon 4x4 Festival Last week, I've actually found a (single) photo of my Yeti going up a slope.

Have a look under Saturday Mud Run 1400 To Close

I've asked them if there are any more anywhere... if so will try and get hold of them!

Brilliant! Finally a SMOC Yeti doing its thing! Looks like fun for sure! Next year I'll be there I hope.

Looks like the potential for expensive damage to me. :o

Would be kind of funny to see a Yeti on BFG Muds with a snorkle and a bit of a lift.

Brilliant RogN.

What tyres were you using?

What would they be like as winter tyres, if they do a size that would fit 16" wheels.

Four standard road tyres - and a very good Off Road Button

The bill for getting dragged off after getting beached - 485 quid (see my other thread for the full breakdown)

Next time I go - I wont use a Yeti unless its jacked up another 10 cm or so and have a snorkle fitted. (and not be 3 months old!)

Bloody hell! Hadn't realised from your other thread that it was exactly THAT kind of off-road course.

Very capable beast the old Monster but as I've previously stated Rog is much more gung-ho than me. Will stick to tobogganing around the Wolds in the snow :giggle:

If the Yeti is anything like the Freelander, it would be rubbish with BFG Muds on. The traction control system needs some slippage before it works, but with MT's this slippage doesn't happen, so it just bogs down.
