ScottHmk4 Fabia vRS - Now with SeatSurgeon leather

Featured Replies

Well my mk4 ibiza's been gone for over 3 weeks now, manage to pick up a 2005 mk1 Fabia vRS, roughly 65800 miles. Pretty standard, it has standard alloys done black (which i cant decide if i like or not) and the fabia is debadged from the back.

Dont have any pics yet but there will be soon. Nothing is going to be happening for a while as i have to get money back and get saving.

gave it a good old blitz/detail,

Plans of the future

Alloys

Lower

Light tints (inc sunstrip)

Clean and tidy engine bay (may paint engine cover)

Xenons

LED bulbs for number plates

Dubmeister pressed plates

LCR splitter

Colourcode plastics

S3 sharkfin aerial

there will be more plans but it will be over time.

got a chance on friday. so started a good old detail but the rain came down so didnt get 100% finished but it will do for the time being. done the interior today, hoovered etc.

Looks Good Scott.

As mentioned on your Readers Rides on SCN, being black, it's not going to stay that clean looking for long. I'm sure sure you're enjoying the extra power and torque compared to your 1.2 Ibiza. However I still think the 3 cylinder engine does sound better than the vRS's diseasel clatter.

ive heard de-cating the vRS will make it sound good?

Yep, there are a few member on here that have done it. Replacing the exhaust doesn't do much to add performance to it (when standard), it will just make it a bit nosier. If you want to do it, change it before you buy a re-map as the new map can adjust to the lack of back pressure.

Being a diesel, at the moment, it will pass and MOT if you De-cat, as it's just tested on smoke, not emissions.

topped up £10 in derv juice the other day, trip read 100 miles (i know you dont get that) done about 25 miles, fuel light, and now sitting at 35 ish miles and reading 25 miles left :S , aint doing soo well, i putting it down to town driving and constant cold starts before and after work, done a little running around tonight of about 7 miles and averaged 26-27 mpg eeek.

after winter is gone, going to get it a proper good service and get some millers into it and hopefully all will be well. im hoping its just the cold starts as stated and all the fact its like -8 degrees. reckon i will get about 55miles to a 1/4 tank here so thats 55/100 pure town driving, doesnt seem great.

I got more than 300 miles out of a tank and nearly half of that was from being on the rollers! I drive the car hard and never get less than 300 miles to a tank.

In fact, I got my new hybrid fitted and have been ragging the **** out of it all evening and averaged 33mpg... I can easily see 40mph driving around town carefully.

Sounds like HID's to me...?

Sounds like HID's to me...?

yeh HIDs, i call them xenons, same thing

Nah they're very, very different pal. Xenon's are a £1,000 investment where as HID's are £30 off eBay. HID's are illegal, non-projector headlights, non-self levelling, non-self cleaning where as Xenon's do all of that. :) If you go around claiming you have Xenon's you're just gunna look like a bit of a tit. :giggle:
