I had my first drive in a Yeti today, the 110 diesel. Surprisingly light & nippy to start with, more like a petrol, however it did feel like it was running out of grunt as the speed built up.

Now that I have your attention , a question for you: Who has the the optional 3 spoke wheel (or who doesn't and regrets not getting it)?

Couple of slight niggles - wing mirrors a little small, I probably didn't have them set up well enough but I was aware of a significant blind spot. And, as alluded to above, I found the 4-spoke steering wheel not quite right - something I never noticed with my old Octavia vRS. I know there was another thread that discussed it a couple of months back but I couldn't find it again. I'd at least like to see a picture of the 3-spoke.

As part of the deal (and in addition to a bit of a discount), the garage were prepared to guarantee the price as quoted in the brochure against price hikes and the VAT increase. Is that something worth taking into account or is it pretty standard for cars ordered now?

I tried the 110 diesel and the Tsi105DSG and of the two I preffered the petrol version on noise grounds alone

I have the 4 spoke wheel and it is fine. Everyone is different but I can't see the point of paying for 1 less spoke. Plastic to leather YES but not 4 to 3 spokes.

If you want more grunt try the 140bhp diesel or even the 170 if your budget can take it. Plenty of poke there.

Others have mentioned the side mirrors but it probably depends on what car you have come from. I think they are fine. Maybe my last car had small mirrors as the Yeti ones do the job for me.

Love the colour. We have seen various shots of the tangerine colour but it looks better each time I see a picture. I only wish it was available when I ordered my car.

I've ordered the 3 spoke wheel. I like it as it,s fitted to my current car.I also didn't like the 4 spoke as I tend to drive with my hands at a 20 past 8 position on the wheel during long motorway journeys . Something I couldn't comfortably do with the 4 spokes.
