I was going to wait until the weather forecast maximum temperature was below 7o, but seeing how cold it is in the morning when I go to work, and that it's cold and dark when I come home, I've decided to do them now.

Fair point, but 205/45/16 winter tyres are literally double the price of 15"s and that's if you can find anyone that's got them in stock.

Pain in the backside/expensive to find winter tyres for though

That's why I have my 14'' Elegance alloys ready to go on instead of my 17'' Evolos if and when the white or slippery stuff makes an appearance.

So what make/model and size are those winter tyres?

They are Avon CR85 in 195/50/15

my winter wheels are on also, as of last week! they were always looking filthy anyway so thought i may aswell swap em now before the salt starts getting dropped and attacks them! emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

they look good.

Just phone admiral and they have said that i dont

need to pay anything extra for using the steel wheels with winters on.

You've saved me wondering or asking that question! Might wait another month before putting them back on, personaly, I kind of like the softer ride and the loss of crashing over holes in the road (should not really have said that!) that fitting higher softer rubber gives.

That's nothing - you should try getting 245/40/18 Winter tyres  I was VERY lucky and nabbed a set on ebay.de for £600 delivered. :(
