Fuel filler cover not locking in?

Featured Replies

Another problem!

Think its one of those weeks!

Basicly.

The cover for the petrol thing wont lock in...

Have tried pushing it hard etc but it just stays unlocked and opens without the door button thing.

Any ideas?...

There is a post on here somewhere that I did find.. took me a while can't remember where it is - someone may be of more use...

Basically you need to go into the boot and remove the carpet on the RHS as if you were changing the bulb - just a bit up from this there is the line for the filler cap. The problem seems to be the plastic end of it pops out of the socket. Really simple and basic... just re-align it and put it back in. no tools needed really easily sorted.

Hope this helps you sorry about the vague description I'll try and dig out the original post and update this.

Andrew

Edit: Found it here - Google works better than briskoda's own search apparently :)
