Wheel Size for Skoda Octavia Classic 2006

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Like many you out there it appears that you are considering changing your wheels to steel wheels for the winter. I am looking to buy a set of 4 steel wheels and tyres but I wanted to know the exact specification of the wheels that the Octavia Classic was sold with. Can someone provide all the details i.e. Rim Width, Rim Diameter, Offset and Stud diameter. Thank you for your help

Skoda (UK) Octavia accessories [.pdf] has some information about the size of wheels available, but not the detail you seek. There used to be a pdf brochure on the Skoda UK website that showed offsets for various wheels for cars in the range but unfortunately that's not available any more, (I have a copy at home; if I remember I'll have a look tonight to see if it has the info you need).

The actual concrete, complete, fact filled answer is just a couple of posts above, but feel free to go out measuring your wheels and finding brochures - neither of which will give you all the details. :dull:

The document is dated 21/1/05, and it shows the range of alloy wheels but the same sizes could be used for steel wheels if you prefer. Under the New Octavia heading the choices are

* 7.0Jx17 ET54 (225/45R17)

* 6.5Jx16 ET50 (205/55R16)

* 6.5Jx15 ET50 (205/60R15 or 195/65R15, the narrower size for use with snow chains)

* 6.0Jx15 ET47 (195/65R15)

The pcd (5x112mm) and centre bore (57mm) are as per previous poster's earlier comments but not explicitly mentioned in the document. One point to remember is that 15" wheels won't fit over 312mm front disks.

Is it not all stamped on the inside surface of your wheel? A quick look at the spare would even save taking one off - Or am I not getting somethin?

tyre options are usualy written on the inside of the fuel filler?
