Phone connection bong

Featured Replies

When I get into or out of the car and it picks up/disconnects from, the signal from my bluetooth phone, the speakers let out a really loud bong that frightens me to death. I have been through all the menus I can find but can't find one that turns the volume down. Does anyone know if you can do this?

Is it loud when you take or make a call?

Have you got Columbus or Bolero?

The volume of the beep is linked to the volume of the voice control.

To turn the volume down, press the left hand side rotary steering wheel button, this activates voice control. Then rotate the button until the volume of the voice becomes bearable, press the button again to cancel voice control.

This will work but it is a fine balance getting the beep quiet enough while keeping calls at a volume where you can hear them.

Thanks Danbarnes that did it. I can now use the ignition key without first putting ear plugs in.

I would really hope that it would be possible to turn this annoying sound completely off. Anyone?

I have the same problem...

Or at least a silent beep like when putting the car in reverse.
