Hi to all,

trying to establish how many Monsters with the Rough Road Pack have the panel highlighted below fitted to the rear of the floor-pan covers (underneath and forward of the rear wheels on both sides) and how old your vehicle is. Would very much appreciate your help on this one.

If you don't have the panel then it will look like this with holes on the rear lip for the fixing screws.

George your confusing me; easily done mind :giggle: You have voted for both panes fitted and not fitted :wonder:

This will be very interesting as when I spoke to Will Fisher at Skoda UK Customer Services this week re refunds for the non-folding electric mirrors I also threw changes to the RRP into the mix. He didn't seem to know about it but mentioned that he thought there had been something about it on an internal bulletin. He said he would get back to me - but has not done so yet (and no written confirmation as promised yet about the mirror refund either. i think these matters will need pursuing doggedly).

I also spoke to Will about this, he is investigating. I will be ringing him about the on Monday to see if he has got to the bottom of the issue.

Thanks to all who have voted so far, unfortunately I've not worded it well I feel, as I'm getting votes for fitted and not fitted from the same members

Therefore things are still not clear, so I have re-worded the questions. If you have voted can you kindly check and amend vote if necessary.

Many thanks,

TP

Thanks Tim

I was a little confused myself and we're the ones who have started this.

Hi TP, the poll insisted I gave an answer in both sections - so I voted yes in the first - ie registered after late August, and N/A in the second. If I had read this first, I would have asked you what to do first!

In fact, mine was registered on !st September 2010.

This thread appears to have gone onto the back burner without being finalised. Has anyone got the definitive answer yet regarding the 'new improved' :D RRP - or does it still remain a grey area ?

I'll have a look at mine if I get a chance tomorrow.

Having been away for a few days I have just found in my inbox a bizarre email from Will Fisher at Skoda UK telling me that when (if!) my SM arrives with RRP but without rear door foils he will see that they are fitted free of charge! I pointed out (again) that this is actually the reverse of the issue - that it seems foils are now standard and that other elements of the RRP may well have been changed or deleted so that we poor customers are paying extra for items that we would have got anyway or won't get now at all.

I await his answer with interest.

Oh dear... emoticon-0145-shake.gif Seem literacy is not high up on the list of attributes required to work at SUK.

Ah well, still a grey area. I also received email from Mr F. requesting my order details. In reply I also mentioned the RRP debacle but am still awaiting his response. My reply to his email was sent on the 7th Dec, receipt requested and not received. Resent 2 days later, receipt requested once again and again not received.

Car ordered end Oct. not even a provisional build date yet.

Guess with anything Skoda, patience is a virtue. :( Slowly, slowly.

But at least we are "Happy Drivers" :D

I'll have a look at mine if I get a chance tomorrow.

I've not yet been able to look at mine - can't see underneath yet. Not forgotten. Will photograph when possible.

A bit Off Topic I know but have a look on the Honest John Backroom on the IX35 thread and associated delays, miss information, no information. Some of these guys will have waited a year or so when their car arrives.

A bit ironic when one of the Hyundai ads airing on Ch5 is titled "Dude Where's My Car". They really are sticking 2 fingers up at their customers.

Me too!

I'm mailing Billy boy on a weekly basis - but getting no sense - he keeps stonewalling saying he's 'waiting for information'

Look, sunshine how difficult is it?

If Skoda is now fitting as standard something I'm going to be paying extra for (Rear foils) I need you to drop the price accordingly, and if Skoda have also lowered the spec. of the Rough Road Package then I expect a price adjustment there too - SIMPLES

PS Anyone also know if Annapurnas are now fitted as standard to Elegance trim?

Nope they are not. It was a very short supplier problem that led to some Elegance cars going out with Anapurnas. Mine (and others I have seen recently) came with the advertised Spitzbergs.

Think it was the Dolomites on the SE that they ran out of. Theres a ex demo SE 140 DSG in orange on the Anna's in the SUK used car section.

Just an update:

My car was built yesterday - so expecting delivery sometime towards end of Jan 2011

I've just sent a note to William Fisher at SUK attempting to press him again on the RRP content and pointing out (yet again) that the rear door protective foils are now fitted as standard on the production line.

I've pointed out that the £185 extra for the RRP I'll be paying now includes those necessary foils and that at the very least I expect a reduction in the RRP cost to reflect this.

He never got back to me to confirm the recent changes to the RRP - so I'm less than impressed at the moment!

I'll keep you posted

At least I'll have a car soon ;)

I have had a second email from Will Fisher (after I complained about the delay in sorting this out) which still says in effect no information yet from Skoda head office! I think it's laughable - if I didn't really want the car, I'd have nothing to do with these people - but of course that is precisely why they can treat us with derision!

As least it is of some comfort to hear that you have had two emails from said WF. Having had no response from him whatsoever I was beginning to think he'd absconded and done a runner. Customer services, that's a bit of a joke, still as they say, a fish always rots from the head down :giggle:

Mind you, sorting out the accuracy of the RRP packages must be an extremely difficult and complex task. :wonder:

A response to my reply yesterday expressing dismay at the lack of progress.....

Reference: SD-2010/11-008048

Dear Mr Even more longsuffering

Thank you for your email. I am very sorry that you found my previous response unacceptable.

When you, and others, initially raised concerns regarding alterations to the Rough Road Package, I contacted our Product Marketing Department, who in turn liaised with their counterparts in Mlada Boleslav.

The response we received from Product Marketing in the Czech Republic acknowledged this concern and we have been asked to await further information. As previously stated, I have chased a response and I must reiterate that I am not in a position to offer any further insight at this time.

I appreciate that this is not the response you were seeking; however, I can assure you that if I had the information requested, I would of course have made it known to you.

Thank you once again for your email.

Kind regards

William Fisher

Well at least they understand the issue.....

Merlinman,

might suggest you e-mail Mladá Boleslav directly [email protected] and possible include your correspondents from SUK.

Have communicated with them myself on occasions and in the main they try to be helpful. Although on occasion they do send you into a flat spin by referring you back to SUK.

Hope that helps,

Regards,

TP
