Anyone used a tow strap on a fabia?

Would they even be long enough to hang out the grille section etc?

I've seen a vRS local to me with a strap hanging out of the right hand side (me facing the car) fog grille.

I wondered what on earth it was. Looked a bit silly....! I guess that was a tow strap?

Is there a tow hole on both sides then ?

I think Jonny5ive has one on his (although that may have been track day only) and i'm pretty sure if was tied to the towing eye which was fitted where one of the fog lights should be

I'm not sure. I know theres one behind the left hand side fog lights.... I guess there must be one behind the right hand side as well... or it was just 'for show'?

Pretty sure it was only on the drivers side. There's all the PAS pump etc on the other side. Or at least, my 1.4 was that way.

On both ours they are on the N/S. You pull off the cover and there is a threaded hole behind. The closed hook is just screwed in. It should be in your tool kit.

I have a towing eye fitted that used to be for track days, that was until I blew the turbo and Mrs Jonny5ive towed me to the garage and since then it hasn't wanted to come out (the towing eye that is, not SWMBO)

The fabric item hanging from the towing eye at Castle Combe was one of these
