Hey iv just recently bought a fabia and iv noticed the fan isnt particularly fast but wen i put it in reverse the fan speeds up like as is i have pressed the resculate button, is this normal? Cheers

mine does it,

Yes it's perfectly normal,

The fan goes into recirc when you select reverse, It's to stop the car drawing exhaust gases into the passenger compartment.

So, open the windows to ensure you are sucking in those fumes whilst reversing.

If the air flow is a lot more in recirculation mode, it could be a sign that the pollen filter is getting blocked.

I always thought the fan sped up in reverse so it blew more air onto the side windows so you could see in your mirrors if they were misted up? Didn't realise it was the recirc cutting in as mentioned.

Ah well - live and learn eh?
