Mudflaps for New Fabia vRS

Featured Replies

Hey guys

Can anyone tell me do the skoda moulded mudflaps fit the new fabia vrs or do they need "help"?

Cheers

as far as im aware, they should just screw in. im picking mine up this week and have opted not to have them fitted at the dealer as it costs £40!

on previous VAG cars my father has always fitted them himself

Cheers. Will just buy them and give it a go. Might see if i can get them to throw them in free while i still have the cash in my hand  Picking mine up on saturday, can't wait!!

I have mud flaps on mine, front and rear, no difference from the standard ones. I think they look quite good on the Fabia vRS.

Thanks.

Picking mine up tomorrow evening so will get them on it then.

Do cars of this type really need mudflaps......

Saw a new VRS with mudflaps in a dealer's showroom on Tuesday. Seemed to be the standard ones and looked good. I think they help stop the muck and mess getting all over the back of the car but don't eliminate it completely.

Yeah its the standard moulded mudflaps i'm thinking of. Father in law had them on black octy vrs before and they looked good. better than the huge flapping rally ones.

Thanks.

Fitting instructions posted would be much appreciated as I want a set on my VRS Estate.

Picked up new vrs today and low and behold they'd fitted mudflaps for me no charge. How Bad!!

Great little machine. Not sure how long my license will last though!

Hi All,

I picked up a set of mud-flaps for my new VRS Estate yesterday.

Part numbers to order are KEA700001 Front, KEA720001 Rear.

You need a Torx driver T25, I had to buy 58 drivers from Halfords to get the one I needed.

However this came with a flexible ratchet handle and the necessary sockets for £10.

Fitting took me 40 mins, without the ideal tools, which would be a 90 degree ratchet wrench.

Fronts were a doddle with wheels at full left, then right lock.

Rears were a little more tricky, as I had to clamp the Torx bit in my Mole Wrench as the tyre is close to the screws you have to remove and replace.

Pictures follow from my Flickr page, as I can't work out how to embed pictures like you other guys.

Next time take the rear wheels off and its a doddle

Ah, but I still did the job quicker than taking the wheels off.

Rears were only a little difficult due to incorrect tools.

Lovely looking motor, looks nice in red.

Sorry to be a pain in the a**e but if you get chance please could you take some pics of your car from behind showing the mudflaps?. Just want to see what they look like from behind to decide whether to get some or not. No prob if you can't.
