Hey people, my Octavia has the electronic Climate Control.

Can somebody expalin me what the ECON button is for and what exactly do?

Also, if I only want to use the blower without the AC compresor, how do I do it?

The econ button disables the aircon compressor, so that the climate control will attempt to regulate the internal temperature using just the outside air and varying the speed of the fan. In a hot climate that will proberbly mean full speed fan all the time, still with a hot internal cabin temp.

Manny has summed it up nicely. The Econ setting tries to control the temperature (using external air) without running the A/C compressor - which is just what you want

For the coldest setting without AC on , make sure ECON is visible , and set the temp to LO.
