OK - Time has come around again to start thinking about the Castle Combe Spring Action Day!

The process is fairly simple. For £30 you get one ticket into the event (£10 on the gate) and a ticket for 15 minutes on track on a Briskoda only track session for 28 cars.

Payment will be made to me in advance and I will pay for and receive all tickets, then forward them on to everyone in good time before the event.

This year we are in the K section, which means going in the main entrance and taking a left down toward quarry corner.

Like last time I am NOT getting involved with anyone who just wishes to come and park on the clubstand. Anyone can do this, and it costs £10 on the gate, per person. There will be plenty to see and do - LOTS of clubstands, track action all day (including a few drifting displays), trade stands and food stalls.

Track session will involve usual thing like 98db noise limit (it was last year I think) - wearing a helmet, long sleeved top, attend briefing in good time, etc. Due to it being Briskoda only, I am tailoring this toward track newbies as a great taster for what having fun on track is all about! In addition, passengers can pay £5 on the day, and go in anyone's car who is taking part in the track session. They must attend a separate briefing though.

This event has always been well attended by the club, with 50+ cars each time. Hopefully the Spring 2011 Action Day will be even bigger. As normal I will try to get a spot in the field next to the circuit, so we have LOTS of room for cars, gazebos and food tables

What I need from those going on track is a PM with full name, address, car type/colour (although not really relevant) and how you prefer to pay - I'll take paypal gift or bank TR.

Also, there is a fairly high chance of getting 10 free entry tickets (i,e to avoid £10 on the gate charge) from the organisers as we have had historically, in which case these will be raffled off to all freedom members who are signed up to Clubstand only.

Mmm, I'm not too far from Combe and I'd love to go to this. Put me down for the clubstand, I don't think I'll bother taking the diesel round the track. May bring the VX220 Turbo to track though. I assume I won't be able to get on track with the Briskoda boys in it though, will I?!

will be paying this week is there anywhere to park a trailer or rec truck as im not fancying driving the estelle down

There is loads of room for a trailer & tow-vehicle. Someone has towed down their Octavia the last couple of times.

sweet stripped out old car wasnt sounding like fun all that way also whats the noise limit?

Noise limit I think is 98 decibels.

Any idea how much a helmet is to rent or if someone has a spare helmet I could borrow
