Late Delivery Compensation Scheme Details?

Featured Replies

Just a quick question as to whether anyone knows the details of the late deivery compensation scheme?

Ordered my Diesel VRS on the end 26th of August and found out this week that it has finally been built and should be with me in about 4 weeks.

So far (up till today) I calculate this to be 20 weeks so according to what I have read on the forums I should be eligible for some form of late delivery compensation.

When asking my dealer about compensation I have been told that Skoda are only offering the compensation to customers who placed orders up to the 21st of August yet I am sure I have seen on the forums people with a order date after mine being offered compensation. So I am little confused as to what the actual details of the scheme are and whether I should bother pursuing it!

Ordrered my SE under the NO VAT deal 25/9 and Skoda UK themselves told me about the compensation offer the other day on the phone 18 weeks £150 and then at 25 weeks £300

Compensation is in the form of

1) M&S Vouchers

2) Skoda accessories or merchandise

3) Discounted service

Over 18 weeks is £150 and 25 weeks £300

My Superb was 24 weeks andm y dealer is only a small outfit and wouldn't do the accessories, they did it before for some customers and it took them 6 month for Skoda UK to pay them back and I have heard of many other cases like this. The new cars don't need servicing for some time unless you do high miles. I went for the vouchers as it was the only option available to me and 2 months on, I am still waiting for their arrival. Skoda Uk will only give my dealer an e-mail adress to try and follow up the issue and when I called Skoda Uk, they said it has nothing to do with customer services and all they can do is give me the same e-mail adres that they gave my dealer.

Go for the accessories if you can, otherwise you'll be wasting your time IMHO.

When you get the car you have to call SUK & tell then your claiming the late delivery compensation, they will then put you through to the correct person who will sort this out , quite quickly for me specially as claim was made on 30th Dec.

I thought I would hit the £300, but found that they calculate timing from order received @ factory to date of pickup,

I was a but miffed as I ordered mine 1 week before factory came back after their break, so even thought the order was placed, it wasnt accepted till 1 week later, total time was 23 weeks so only got £150. DOH!!!!

I was offered M&S vouchers OR Accessories vouchers OR cost towards service, I took service & they said o.k no problem.

Is there a compensation scheme for late delivery of the vouchers? ;)

Same happened to me. I get the impression that if you don't ask, you will not get. Frankly it all seems rather informal, and I suspect, subject to variation depending on what member of SUK or what dealer you deal with.

Do you know the name of the person you spoke to at Skoda UK?

everyone I have spoken to there says it is nothing to do with them and can only be done via the dealer, now I'm confused :S

When I picked up my VRS I spoke to the dealer. He chased it and phoned me 2 days later with the offer of £150.

All diesels have had their build dates removed, I have heard that they are going add new build dates soon. I have a 1.6TDI SE on order since 25/9 and my build date dissapeared. Also to note the new NO VAT deal does not include diesels!

Today marks exactly 8 months since I placed my order - my car is somewhere in the UK, but not yet with my dealer and hence not yet with me.

Over 8 months wait may well become the norm given the stories here.

I now have a build week for my 1.6TDI CR SE ordered 25/9/10, week 13, end of March so that will be 6 months. Was hoping to have the car for a family trip during April half term so fingers crossed, I won't however be going down the bookies to place a bet on it coming before the royal wedding!

Just to remind all interested.

Compensation is calculated from accepted order by factory( NOT from when you placed order with dealer) to receipt of car.

Compensation levels are:- £150 over 18 weeks & £300 over 24 weeks.

Sorry if you already knew this emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Blimey, I've been reading this and other threads and it seems weired - ordered my new diesel VRS end of October, it's arrived and I pick it up this week - 13 weeks which is better than the 16-18 they quoted.

Good to know thanks as I ordered my cr vrs in October and have been told it is likely to be April before it is built.

I'm not sure that I'm going to get any compensation even though it was 20 weeks from order to delivery. According to my dealer, they work it out by adding 3 weeks for delivery to the order to build time. In my case that is 14+3 weeks, they seem to be ignoring the fact that it took 6 weeks to get the car from the factory to me.

Needless to say I shall be contacting Skoda UK CS again.

Hassle SUK, for compensation, & dont take no for an answer.

me too seems like a bit of a lottery with build weeks at the moment

Hi trying to find out why some cars are taking so long to arrive, is it possible you could let me know your order number from your car.

Got the vouchers at last! Just goes to show that perseverance pays in the end.
