Hi,

125 BSA Bantam. Bought for £2.00 from a mate at school, took it home in a cardboard box and spent the next year doing it up and got it on the road in late 1963.

Wife used,

Pergeot 205 D probably the fastest diesel in its day 2Ltr T

Ford Fiesta different one to above

Pergeot 106

Fabia 2

All very good cars, except the 306 estate which was a real dog from new. Px'ed it at 9 months for the 1.8T Octy Estate - never looked back since.

The XR2 Mk2 never seemed as good as the Mk1. Ford went from weber carb to Bosch fuel injection.

Oldstan, see you had a couple of C15's I could never afford one from new. Had to do overtime to afford a rebuilt C12 at £20.00.

May have forgotten a couple of cars.

OK, here goes.

Talbot Sunbeam - was quick as anything, but you had a hell of a time stopping. Brakes were atrocious.

Vauxhall Cavalier SRi

Ford Sierra 1600E

Rover 416 - a cheap civic in "drag"

Rover 214 - another cheap civic knockoff

Rover 800 Sterling - had the best climate control of anything I've ever owned. Never had to adjust it. Auto mode was perfect.

Peugeot 306 - worst car ever. You name it, and it probably broke.

Rover 620 - This time a Honda Accord in drag

Daewoo something crappy estate - I know, i know, but these were desperate times.

Skoda Superb 1.9 pd130 - one cracker of a car. A great induction into the skoda owners club. Still have the brolly somewhere.

Dodge Caliber SXT - great little car with a brilliant 2.0 CR 140 VAG diesel!

Chrysler Sebring Convertable - Another yank tank fitted with the brilliant 2.0 CR VAG unit.

SM is on order. Hopefully see it some time in April.
