there is 1 small torx screw visible but the panel doesn't move much when screw removed.

i'm guessing there are loads of plastic tabs hidden behind but i cannot see or feel them.

so how does it come off?

TP will know best but I thought those silver optional trim bits are bonded to the car with resin? But then some people on here have already lost a few of those... So maybe I'm wrong.

I think it's a part of the rest of the black plastic in the lower part of the front bumper cover. Will not come off as a separate part.. The torx screw you see is one of the screws holding the plastic bumper cover.

Looking at ETKA and Elsawin it seems to be an integral part of the lower front bumper assembly? :(

Hi,

as others have posted the lower spoiler is one piece and attached to the upper bumper.

TP

It is a separate part. Beckenham Skoda were selling the 2 mirror covers and the front trims a while back for about £26 if memory serves me right.

Not the silver trim (Which is held on by double sided tape), Mike, YetiClive is, I think, referring to the black recessed housing it is attached to.

Well both of the diagrams show it as an integral part of the spoiler.

Why do you want to get it off, Clive?

Excellent; thanks.

These diagrams have given me the answer to a question I was musing over. That is; can I removed the lower grille to the bumper (as one can on the Octavia) as I want to cover it with mesh to restrict the possibility of stones getting at the radiator?

The answer would appear to be no, as it is one part with the lower bumper section, but the 'bumper cover' (the silver bit) would appear to be held on by just three screws. I'm thinking I could remove this, place mesh where I want it, and then secure the mesh by replacing the bumper cover.

Simples?

Graham, i've got an idea for the same effect as the silver skoda part but for free and with a little extra.

thought it would make life easy to remove the panels and work on them in the warm.

having to remove the whole bumper may not be, so a rethink is on it's way
