2003 '53 Octavia vRS Estate - Black

Featured Replies

Hi, and thanks for looking.

This sale is for my 2003 Black Magic Octavia vRS Estate.

Brief history:

I bought the car 4 years ago, at 65,000 miles, as a completely standard car.

It had full service history including a cam belt service at 62,000 miles.

It now has 89,000 miles on the clock, and I have serviced the car myself in the interim, using only quality parts.

It has had a few new parts as required while I have owned it, such as new discs and pads, tyres, and cat back exhaust.

In addition, I have replaced all filters (annually), the re-circ valve, the j-valve, the dog-bone bush, all coil packs, and choice breather pipes. (All of which are common failures on these vehicles)

The only other modifications the vehicle received in this time were a coil-over suspension kit and a replacement stereo.

I must stress that the replacement parts listed above have been carefully selected so as not to classify the car as 'modified' in the eyes of a regular insurance company. I checked when I took out my last policy, and they were happy the parts were OE replacement, and not performance-enhancing.

The car is MOT'd until October and Taxed until the end of March.

As for the condition of the car, I would say it is fantastic. I have always taken pride in the appearance of the car, inside and out, and I have never let it go without mechanically. It does a 30 mile round trip every day, barely ever doing short journeys, and I let it warm up/cool down properly etc when driving. Combined economy tends to be around 35mpg, and I regularly beat 40 on a longer run.

I think that's about it, everything that should work, does work, and I will be sorry to see her go.

Reason for sale is I just need something a little smaller and more economical (probably a diesel).

I would like £4,000 for her, but all reasonable offers are considered.

(If you would like the coil-over kit included, let me know, and I'll not bother changing it back to standard!)

Contact me by reply below, by PM, or using my mobile 07817.914.224

I am in the Huddersfield area, and view can be any night, or at the weekend.

Thanks, Andrew :)

P.S More photos are coming when I can upload them.

Bump - Still for sale emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Willing to accept offers in the region of £3,000. Just get in touch.

Car has recently had 2 new Dunlop tyres on the front, along with new ball joints and inner wishbone bushes.

Also has a new set of genuine coil packs thanks to Skoda recall - no engine hesitations or anything.

I have put suspension back to standard (original items that I removed a few years ago). Coil overs are available if you want them.

This car is honestly in fantastic condition. I have looked after it very well in the 4 years I have owned it, and it has wanted for nothing.

Mileage in picture has changed since Feb, car is now running just shy of 94,000 miles.
