Cheaper Labour For Cars Over 3 Years Old

Featured Replies

Got my VRS back tonight & was pleasantly surprised when the receptionist advised that they were doing a deal whereby cars over 3 years get 31% off their standard labour rate (of £73.50?)- that was a result. It softened the blow somewhat, but still nae cheap.

MOT, BFC, Cambelt & Water Pump Done... £55, 'prepaid' (£57ish) & effectively £400...& I used my £100 'service plan vouchers' towards the cambelt kit...so final bill of <£360 all in.

My original post on the cambelt, costs etc is below for reference.

While the overall service was pleasant enough, it was disappointing that they had initially included the BFC costs on the invoice (which I luckily spotted) & also failed to stamp the service book (again!)...apparently the technician couldn't find it...quite how he failed to see it on the passenger seat worries me somewhat!

Is that at a Skoda dealer and if so where is it? That seems very reasonable.

Aberdeen...I thought it was a good deal...clearly an attempt to retain those cars going out of warranty from defecting out of the network...I was happy to take advantage.

Good deal for you. Bit far for myself though.

Not a bad idea. Good to see that some are trying :)

Hopefully it catches on. I've heard of other marques doing it before - including VW/BM I think?
