New post 28-02-2011

After 10 days of driving 600 miles or more with 4 x new Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110

Grip Yes Hankook are better than original continental contact 2

Now I can drive to the corners like are crazy driver …… but not that I need

Braking it is feels better without testing hard to say how better

But in real life this grip cost for me to much

The problems is:

1) I lost the engine power or say acceleration as now engine feels lumpy

2) Before I can drive 5 gear on the hill now computer shows change to lower "as engine working harder"

3) Fuel 5-6 MPG lost

Basically it is feel that engine working really harder to accelerate

It is now feels that I have all the time trailer in the back.

Dive from the hill feels the car like little braking it self

-----------------------------

Before I change the tyres to Hankook I needed to do the Wheel Alignment as the car start driving to left

The garage person told Wheel Alignment done.

But when I saw how they done to other car Wheel Alignment feels strange this time.

Yes the car do not drive to left now

But they done to other and my car just basic 2 Wheel Alignment.

What I mean 2 Wheel Alignment They have some device which they put on the ground the car and check something for 5-6 Min . Then they just simply drive out and come back and just done something on the ground to the Wheel and just all

The equipment they used is similar to this picture

http://www.used-garage-equipment.com/images/uploads/1.jpeg

How they can done Wheel Alignment. Without lifting the car ????

As now when I looked more info about Wheel Alignment It feel they like scams garage it was

So I will need to do again Wheel Alignment

So many ……… (do not want swear) working in the garages .

Original post 17-02-2011:

Hi All,

My old Continental Contacta 2 Tyres have been replaced to Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110

4 x new Tyres have been Fitted Yesterday so can not tell lot:

Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110 Review

1) The first impression is the car glued to the road

2) Sterling - responsive really quick .Like turn left / right and the car straight turns - it feels sensitive all way

3) These sensitive turn with precision delivery to the road I mean no sliding at all

4) Yesterday I turn more quickly in the corners to see the stability

Can say that now I can pass road corners 5-10 miles more quicker compare Continental Contacta 2 at now problems of stability

5) Road noise – Yes they are more quiet It is pluses and minuses As now I can hear deferent road structure noise.

6) Feels like all bumps now have been absorbed by the tyre Like before it is was like car jump up and down

Now all bumps passing smooth – This is the second best thing after stability as now drive become more relaxed and pleasured.

Like before say - all equipment in the car jumps when Im driving bumpy road now it is smooth like ship passing all the bumps

Yesterday I do not have time to check the tyre pressure after they fitted tyres - forgot to speak with the tyre man about the pressure As I think they done to 2.0-2.2 bars

Im driving 2.5 bar tyre pressure

The main thing is the car glued to the road looks really good - but this is make me worry about tyre wear and fuel consumption.

As from Yesterday the fuel consumption increases.

Like from 60 mpg drops to57-55 mpg

So 3-5 mpg less – but maybe the tyre pressure wrong ? + Some say the new tyres need time to†work out them†as I changed all 4 Tyres

Im not so worry about 3-5 mpg but I have 105 bhp so will be losing the power I can understand 170 Bhp superb so it does not mater these couple bhp lost to the tyres.

Will see next week if the fuels consumption will be better or worst

JUST FIRST DAY SO I THINK THAT THE TYRE NEED TO WORK OUT

Some review

Hi,

I said you'd be happy with them! ...and as time's gone by my economy has improved too - I now average 52 mpg over 32000 miles...

And as I said in my orginal post, they are wearing very well, so I'll definately get some more Hankook Evos when the time comes..

Cheers
