Meet at the travelodge/little chef on the A66 West bound just off Jct 40 Of the M6 CA10 0DQ. Nearest postcode i think, is actually for the Rheged Centre which a short distance further on.

Hello all, have got my dates and a few other details sorted out so can finally get this posted.

This is going to be an all day Meet envolving an early start, circa 7am, and taking in a lot of the best roads Cumbria has to offer. With a lunch stop along the route. As this is a Sunaday it allows the possibility of staying over locally or camping for those outdoor lovers.

I'm going to hopefully plan it in such a fashion where a rest stop or stops can be incorporated, but allow those who want the opportunity to keep driving to do a short loop back to the rest stop and then regroup.

There will be a map and directions with post code/locations to hopefully ensure no-one will get lost.

So if your interested get your name down and we'll see where this goes.

For those on the drive I've sorted you all out a choice of 2 mains and 2 desserts.

Mains are steak pie with veg, fish and chips or a vegetarian dish.

Desserts are sticky toffee pudding or Eden mess.

So everyone can choose now and let me know by pm what they would like between those. It's £8.50 for the two courses. . So please indicate next to your username how many people with you will be eating as indicated in the below post.

Another point to consider for people is that with it being almost a lap of the county people would be welcome to do all of the meet or indeed just do a part of it. There'll be a few little rest stops to admire views etc so can easily meet people at those points. More info obviously nearer the time or feel free to PM me.

I have to say having really nice days like this make me want to get out in the car now, roll on August.

Well just been out to trial part of the route that will be used with sharkrider, so route coming along nicely.

He was also kind enough to let me have a quick go in his new Fabia vRS.... Wow, very nice and quick. Thanks Dave.

looking like a nice list already! the B&B's fill up quickly.... If you fancy camping I would suggest dale bottom farm in keswick (google it) I have organised a camping meet a couple of year ago there, and they are very accomodating... if there are enough, poeople comming and camping at the same place, i would join them for beers BBQ's and fun
