That is correct. And 25,268 Superbs and 44,471 Superb Combis. I don't know how many were built in 2010. Maybe TP knows? 4,850 Yetis will also be built in Aurangabad this year.

Another interesting thing I saw in these numbers is that from Oct 2011 they will start building the Škoda NSF (PQ12) at Bratislava. And just a few months before this in August the VW PQ12 NSF will start production. The only cars made in this factory is the VW Touareg, Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne. The SEAT version starts in October as well and has (3 door) next to its NSF designation.

Doing a bit of research as to "NSF and Bratislava" I found that this is the VW UP mini car. So the Škoda version won't be far behind the VW one!

The Škoda numbers for their baby car is:

Oct - 175

Nov - 636

Dec - 420

Knowing my Superb was one of only 1700 built in either January or February does give an air of exclusivity. Surprised at the ratio of twindoor to combi- I thought when combi was launched press releases said Skoda expected it to account for about 20-25% of Superb sales. Cant believe the misread the market by so much :smirk:

It just goes to show the level of demand for an enormous estate car that isn't priced like an E Class Merc.

Or the fact that the Superb twindoor has a derriere that is very much an acquired taste. A beauty it ain't. Unless you're a Hyena.

Why the big variation in build numbers for the Yeti month to month, aside from the summer and Christmas shutdowns? In comparison Superbs are fairly constant throughout the year.

March, October and November look like the favourite months for a factory tour :wonder:
