Featured Replies

They look and perform well.

Will get some pictures up tomorrow when I can get on a pc

Anyone else got them on the fabia?

Yes I have some of the 15 quid eBay ones, top notch and easy to install. Used the pdf guide on here

Pretty straight forward, didn't even read the instructions lol

I have them as a optional extra, never thought something could be so useful!

I want them but scared to drill my bumper etc... Where can you buy genuine ones?

Yeah ive had them for about 8 months now and find them really useful aswell.

Why you need genuine ones? You still have to drill regardless

Just would prefer genuine than aftermarket ebay jobbies tbh

Where did you get them from ?

eBay ftw.

Sensors are sensors at the end of the day. You get everything in the kit and even a 22mm hole saw bit.

I secured my sensors with some glue and tie wraps and some heat shrink.

They look as oem as you like. I'll post up a pic in the morning. Use 7" as my spacing if anyone is wondering

Where did you get them from ?

ebay mate.

I put 'em on my fabia but only used 2..... don't think you really need 4. Installed under each end of the number plate

4 look fine lol

2 will just look out of place and look like aftermarket

I fancy a set of these now. What's the warning? Just beeping?

If anyone else fits these under the number plate you'll need to be carefull as they wont work as intended. They are designed to be fitted at the rearmost point and the edges of the vehicle as the sensors only have a limited field of vision and the readings you get may/will be obscured by the top of your bumper and they will most likely miss obstaces at the edge of the vehicle. There is a vevy good reason all manufacturers fit them as a particular level and a specific pitch (theres also an opmimum height)

the geniune kit for the faia only has 3 three sensors, looks odd tbh

Anyone tried the metal strip ones? They seem more accurate, also you wont need to drill any holes. Last I look they were from £40 upwards for ebay jobbies. For me, most important is the beep/interface, I would really hate if it was cheapy tacky sound.

I had the metal strip one on my old 206 and it was crap. It picked up far too much interference from water running over the bumper and gave false readings and seemed to come unstuck every month despite cleaning the surface.. The ones posted above seem alot more accurate and the beeping sound is identical to the warning my mate has in his s3 which has oem sensors fitted.

How do they work? Do they wire into anything or has it just got it's own speaker and what not?

There is a guide on fabia-vrs.com

Its got its own speaker which I stuck under my rear speaker where the fabric has holes in.

A box where everthing plugs into and then a ground and power wire which you wire to the reversing light.

The sensors can go in more but I put the adapters on so they face straight on

connect to reverse wire and an earth....... job done

I also had just 2 fitted on my Volvo T4. No bumps or scrapes, highly accurate. My issue with having 4 is you pick up obstacles well outside the line of the vehicle, obstacles that I can see in my mirros

Don't put them on the corners of the bumper then
