Well I've just got around to checking my email from yesterday.

My car made it to the dealership late on Friday.

We're still unfortunately waiting for my car to get fully repaired.

I'm also away this coming weekend, so I shall be going to collect it on Monday 18th.

So close to getting my grubby little mits on it!

Per posts 78 & 79 I think we must be pretty close together, time-wise. Heard nothing from my dealer though, so clutching at whatever straws I can at this stage....

I don't know I'm afraid - dealers did say they would tell me when it was in transit and instead informed me it had arrived.

I can ask my dealer if they know which port it was imported via, but I'm assuming they all come in via Grimsby and then go via road to the dealerships?

Mine was built on the 24th of March - so around the same time as yours.

So I really expected ours to be on the same ship.

I ordered my Octavia Elegance Estate in early March and was originally given an ETA of September!

Had an email last Friday telling me it was being built this week (wk 15) and to expect it about 3 weeks later!

What I'd be interested to know is how they managed to pull in the delivery time on this by over 4 months only 6 weeks after ordering??

Dealer phoned me today to say it is at the Port at Tyne (so it's in the UK!).

Just waiting on a transport order to get it brought up here and we should have it by the weekend!

just a quick update stevoraith, nicky boy and all. had a call from the dealer this morning to say the car arrived in the uk last night.

so good news. just spoke with skoda last week and they advised still another few weeks so happy with that. just waiting on a shipping order now to get it.

if you ordered from chathams stevoraith i would imagine mine would come with yours on the transport.

I suspect previous posters have more pro-active dealers than I - on the basis of above positive news, I emailed mine. I've learned my car is indeed in Grimsby and awaiting transport over to Yorkshire. Bit cheesed off I had to chase this information, but equally I know I'm champing at the bit.

BTW, I spied on the Yeti forum that their version of this thread - Linky - quotes a site called trackmyskoda. Haven't looked on it myself, but I mention it just in case, like me, you didn't know it existed.

Not long now...

EDIT - Ah - I see that site is only for customers of certain dealerships. Good idea, surprised it isn't more prevalent.

excited now. especially with the good weather their at weekend was wishing i had it.

Nicky Boy, did you get mats as standard? just curious to know if they come as standard with the car?

Doubt our cars will be on the same transporter though Mr Hankey, mine is due at the dealer tomorrow!

Went in to sign finance papers today and have arranged to pick it up on Friday. Can't wait! :yes:

Yeah I got mats but they aren't the best to be honest. Got a car with an almost empty fuel tank, I found that quite surprising and annoying.

Yeah loving it though the dsg missed a gear last night and over revved! Going to wembley on Saturday so looking forward to the drive. The soundsystem is amazing btw. Let me know when you get it

Got mine on Friday and it is amazing- even better than I thought it would be! Even got a full tank of fuel without asking!

I'll get a few pics up over the next few days and write a wee review when I get a chance- you won't be disappointed!

no date as yet, but i reckon this friday i should get it.

was at newcastle last sunday and got call on thursday to say it should be there mid week this week. i did however speak with someone today who advised me that some cars paperwork are missing when coming off the boat into uk. apperantly it is across the VAG group.

hopefully not mine.

i hope to get something like a full tank to be honest as i have had some major issues with this garage so i hope i get something but to be honest not holding my breath at all.

quick update, arrived at dealer today.

so should have it by the weekend. i am unsure whether to get it at weekend then get tints done on tuesday or collect it on the tuesday morning drive along to the place and get the tints done.

dying to get it so not sure as i wanted to collect with the tints however i checked out the place today where they send their cars to for tints and i was not that impressed with their workspace and the general job of the cars they should me there.

anyway getting close to the day now. just counting down the days.

one quick question. i asked in the ice forum but just wanted to double check, does the standard stereo that comes with the vrs play sdhc cards or just sd?
