I am looking to retro fit a Bolero head unit in my 2007 57 plate Octavia. I have searched and noted there is sometimes a problem with the Gateway. Do you know what version I would have on my car? Can I find it easily to have a look?

It's either behind the glove box which is easy to get to, or behind the fusebox which is a bit of a pig IIRC.

My car is a 56 plate and it is behind the glovebox. The info on the gateway is facing away from you so you'll need to release the clips to turn it around.

I would make an educated guess that your revision will be a K or later and therefore will not need changing but you really need to get this confirmed.

Do you know anyone with VCDS? They could run a quick scan to find out for sure.
