Can't understand the logic. If the "Slowda" lead time cars with the the 1.2TSi + DSG engine is 25 -32 weeks from now (for existing orders) what will it be with 8 more weeks of "can't miss offers"?

NO NO NO stop buying them then it wont slowdown my new build :p

Surprised this thread is getting so little attention. If it is true then this could be ideal for me.

Is it true? I can't immediately see anything on Skoda's website.

I presume you mean the VAT deal is on, not the VAT is on. Anyone else heard this?

no whot happend i whent to my dealer to see about my roomster and i was just asking about the monte

then he told me that skoda just told them yesterday and even the sales chap steve was shocked

that they carry it on to may

They have extended it twice before so wont shock me if they do it again.

May take certain models out. All Octavia's used to be in the deal and they took the diesels out. They could say all Fabia models VAT free excluding TSi models or perhaps DSG models as these have the longest order times.

Spoke to a dealer while in Harlow today. He had not heard of the 20% off deal being extended.

maybe optional for dealers or he's just not read his email

If its Darlingtons in Harlow my strong impression is that their Skoda sales staff dont know their elbows from their a$$es! :giggle:

My Dealer confirmed this also. The deal is on for another quarter but dealer reckons it'll come to an end after this quarter.

They've said that the last three times.

I think it'll stop on until the New Fabia is out or at least until they have enough orders to complete the current models production run. The Fabia is well past it's sell by date as a package using the old small car platform and still having the bland dash with hard platics. I'd think the new model must be due 2012, Skoda boss has said their will be a new model every six months from 2012 - 2015.

An ad in the paper today said that the VAT free deal is for orders taken before May 2nd.

Ah awesome, was worried I missed the deadline as popping down to my dealership on thursday! Looking at getting the Elegance 1.6 CR TDI 105 and adding some extra toys on like heated seats, rear leccy windows, sunset glass etc.
