Shall we have a SMOC logo made?

I'd be happy with an internal window design (though I wonder if this would be visible through the tinted rears). I'd be equally happy with a tailgate badge, provided it was of high quality and looked 'classy' not 'tacky'. Don't want to stick chavvy boy racer stuff on Betty's bum!

Believe me I feel the same. Hence I only considered this when I saw that this company does OE badges for the UK. I want it to look just like a Greenline/Family OE badge.

+1 (not that I'd dream of touching Betty's bum: it's Musky's bum of which I'm protective).

OK the company (very promptly!) got back. Here are my questions and their reply in bold behind:

1. What is the minimum order? – graphics / vinyl badges x 100.

2. What is the price for a flat standard decal pair? Eg like the Nurnburgring ones with only one colour? – approx £2.95 depending on final sizes / volumes and colours

3. What is the price for an embossed one (per pair)? – Would need final artwork for an accurate quotation. Minimum order x 500.

4. And finally for a metal-look ones - per pair (like this one you made) in the shape of say a Yeti foot, with green Škoda green SMOC letters in the toes? Total length say 60 mm and 25mm across. Tooling / artwork approximately £990 - £1100. Minimum order quantity – 250. Approx costs per item £3.98.

I think I will need to speak to the A2OC to see how they got their metal ones on such a small order. To get 250 metal look ones we will have stock for a decade or more alas!!!!! Looks as if it will be the sticker variety I'm afraid.

i'm waiting for the graham of the welsh variety to show up. :giggle:

You called??

Yes please, and would prefer internal window, but could be persuaded to an external sticker.

(Reminds me.....must get a GB sticker for next month!)

One bonus of the internal window sticker is you can make a balanced pair with a BriSkoda one in the other top corner.

So about that size would be great.

welcome back graham, good holiday?

anyways, from the other post a while back, this is what i came up with...

yetiSMOClogo.jpg

on the subject of SMOC, SMOG etc, how about SMUG (users group) coz driving a yeti you just cannot help feeling smug :p

i've done some tests with a white sticker inside the rear windows and it is hardly visible at all especially in bright sun so it looks like it's got to be an external jobbie?

I quite like that (and I'm happy to be SMOC, SMOG or SMUG, but probably not SMUC :D ). Might be even better if it were 4:3 or 9:6 ... rectangular rather than square, and if we could get it more 'skoda coloured'?

White on 'Tibetan' White :wonder:

Would also suggest out of courtesy to defer to aerofurb on changing the OC bit, as he originally coined the owners club; although I don't think he would mind :wonder:

bobdog,

ignore the black square. the actual thing would be just the yeti foot with whatever acronym in the middle.

TP,

these could, potentially, be made any colour you like. it is ONLY a basic idea

as for the actual acronym, of course, only right and proper.

Coolio B)

How about this? :smirk:

Tibet Yeti

aerofurbs Tibetan snow Monster gets everywhere

Nice one aero.

I remember getting a 'Colin McRae' Memorial sticker on my Furby. Was vinyl and you peeled off one side, placed it on the car, then peeled the other side away, leaving only the signature and other bits, not a complete sticker but more just a vinyl cut out. Something like this, on the back of a Yeti, outline of the Yeti foot with lettering inside (SMUG, SMOG, etc) would be ideal, can have various colours (Black, White, Red, etc)

Colin McRae Memorial Sticker

Found a lad on the VRS forum who get's vinyls made up. He's looking at getting a price for either an internal or external vinyl outline of a Yeti Footprint with either SMOC or SMUG inside, and the Briskoda website address below.

Perfect. In the back of my mind I remember seeing someone on this forum in the sticker business but I really could not trace it!

As to my first sketch: I think we should use the exact footprint Škoda themselves use in the brochure and with all their merchandise. As to the words inside I also suggest we stick to SMOC as that is what it has always been known as. On a MINI SMOC will mean MINI and on a Snow Monster it will mean Snow Monster... (afterall TT on an Audi means a car and TT anywhere else has many meanings!) If we also (as you just suggested) add the Briskoda website address to the sticker there would be no confusion should anyone actually want to know more after seeing a sticker on a car.

johann, i agree.

the foot in my design IS the official yeti foot and the text is supposed to be the same as the word 'yeti'

i couldn't find a font the same so modified what was there to read 'smoc'

i used to have a vinyl sign writing business so know this will be an easy job to produce.

even in very small batches (10) i estimate the cost should be under £5 each in plain cut material.

if the briskoda logo is printed on too it shouldn't cost much more.

let's see what the man comes up with ?

From another source they have designed the following -

Size is aprox A6 (W:148mm x H:105mm)and cost 2,60 EUR, no minimum order, and any colour vinly can be provided, either for window (inside/outside) or paintwork. Obviously can be SMUG, SMOC or whatever is decided

Images don't work for me!

Like the first one but as Johann indicated I personally would like to keep the SMOC tag but we are a democracy and I'm happy to go with the flow.

TP

Johann's arguments work for me, SMOC is cool, foot and font are consistent with Skoda stuff, which is a good thing (I have an MGB with a V8 engine, and am a member of the MGOC ... all MGOC 'branding' is consistent with the old MG factory stuff - keeps it 'family' - and I think SMOC should adopt similar principles).

I can't see those pictures either!

i can see them :p

i reckon the yeti and briskoda logos should be in original fonts.

price is very good
