I remember seeing a picture of a cool looking black and white, almost retro looking badge

Do these exist or am I making it up?

Also is it possible to buy a black grille from somewhere as my painting skills are rubbish.

I've just seen in another thread that theres a nice looking black and white badge from a favorit. However, none on eBay and some favorits have the normal sliver, black and green badge.

No and yes, you may find them on ebay. Else if your patience level are low - Pasty Boy on here does custom badges.

where did you get these badges from?

The one's shown in JLeonHug's post are, I believe, from a Favorit. The second one comes with "wings" on the side that need removing in order to make it flat. They did do different rear badges on the Favorit, I think the domed one with chrome effect were later models (1995). Others were a slightly raised plastic and silver paint affair, and were bigger.

Do not buy a replacement bonnet badge off ebay. Attached is a photo of mine, fitted to the vehicle just over 5 weeks ago, advertised as a genuine Skoda part, PN: 1U0853621. Acid rain?

Rainworth Skoda also have a fleabay shop, under 'no1forskoda' iirc

Just received my front badge from Rainworth Škoda today. Top service and also much better prices on eBay than over the parts desk of Škoda Edinburgh. I have the part numbers for front and back Octavia new style badges. Would need to check if the rear one fits a Fabia 2. I suspect not.

Front Octavia Badge - 5J0 853 621 AAUL

Rear Octavia Badge - 5J0 853 621 A

Wheel centre caps - 5JA 601 151

The front badge for a Citigo is -1ST 853 601 AAUL. This may fit the Fabia. It is the same diameter as the Octavia one but has mor locating pins at the rear (I'll need to cut off.) :-S
