I dont like it.....

Unless your going to raise the ride height (and ruin the ride) change the wheels for smaller (and ruin the handling) change tyres for more "All season" (and ruin the handling) add physical protection for the underbody (adding weight) it'll not be a worth while mod... an of course, start with the 4x4 derivative...

If you care to read the sources I've referred to you can see that the sources and principles are different - I do admit my headline was a bit incorrect and misleading but nevertheless this is not official SC Scout and one should be able to buy it right now.

The fact that there will be an official SC Scout in the future is quite obvious as VW has planned a Passat Variant Crosser anyway so why shouln't Å koda?? But most likely they'll wait until the facelift, not before.

I think and hope that it will happen. In the UK you can no longer factory order the Audi A6 allroad, and there is no public announcement of its replacement in the much larger new version of the A6/A6 Avant. This vacuum would allow Skoda to introduce a Superb Scout without cannibalising A6 allroad sales. This of course doesn't take into account the perceived quality/prestige and badge snobbery issues - just the functionality of an on/off-road hybrid (application, not power). I've got no hang-ups myself as we have both marques in our family, and a Superb Scout would be just perfect.
